Report of the Anti-Bullying Task Force to Promote Civil & Ethical Behavior

The report of the Anti-Bullying Task Force to Promote Civil & Ethical Behavior was presented to the School Committee on June 23. The report is the combined work of 8 subgroups, which included more than 100 members of our staff and community. The report contains recommendations for policy, procedures and programs. In September staff, students and parents will receive information about the programs that will be in place next year and about procedures that will be used in the schools to handle reports about bullying incidents. The policy changes reflect the requirements of the new Anti-Bullying Law, Chapter 71, Section 37 O, and they inform statements that will go into Student and Parent Handbooks about the handling of bullying incidents, as well as the district's choice of programs for students, parents and the community.
